Project 5B : Merdeka Countdown, 1500-2359, 30st August 2010

Today we gather in front of the E48B to wait bus to Penang Times Square on 1500.

Although somebody have difference meaning of Merdeka but in my opinion I am just celebrate it as an event to improve the cooperation of all people in Malaysia because this is the only event that whole Malaysian celebrate together. Some of us do not care the history and the truth about it but we cannot deny that we are the one can make different in future.

In conclusion, my intention is to celebrate and make the event successfully.

Project 5 : Merdeka Lunch, 0900-1200, 20th August 2010

From this project, my intention is to produce a history video to perform and with the cooperation and hardworking of all group members, finally our video is produce as show in the link above. Thank for the cooperation and I am apologize for any injury when creating the video and when the performence.

Project 3C : 6-BBBB, Part 2

I have create (act) a new Balloon Black Bamboo box (product) so that it fulfill the requirement given (intention) , that is carryable by 6 Helium gas balloon to sky. This time my material only include the bamboo stick that divide into 4 sticks for each stick and old newspaper. In my opinion i think that the sticks is thin and light enough to fly.

Here showing my new 6-BBBB :

The satay stick is too thin until cannot support the shape of my black box.

This is the final product of my second 6-BBBB.

Finally the 6-BBBB is finished before going to celebrate independence day in Penang Time Square. Unfortunately my 6-BBBB cannot fly to the sky. Theoretically i think my 6-BBBB is light enough to fly but practically it failed to do so. On the 31st August 2010, I discovered that it is impossible to create a box that can fly in the sky with 6 standard Helium gas balloon. The reason is i saw my friend tie 8 Helium gas balloon to fly a garbage plastic. They try to put 7 balloon but their plastic is unable to fly. As a conclusion, I do not know whether my way of doing the 6-BBBB go wrong or it is impossible to fly a box with 6 Helium gas balloon.

Project 4 : Urbanity, 13rd August 2010, 0900-1200

Today the project given is to checking the site around the Penang Time Square so that we have an idea on how to celebrate our independent day on 30th August 2010. We have to study the space form and node path around Penang Time Square in a six people group.

Project 3C : 6-Balloon Black Bamboo Box, 0900-1200, 9th August 2010

The topic for today is addition and subtraction. In my opinion, I have to take out some of my memory so that i can remember all the things thought by lecturer. I have given a project as usual, Project 3C 6-Balloon Black Bamboo Box. Although the project is individual but we went to cut the bamboo in a group of about 20 people.

Since we are very tire after bring down so many bamboo from the hill, then we plan to cut the bamboo into smaller pieces on the other day. On the second day about 8pm, we start to cut the bamboo into a small slide.

Since we cannot afford to finish cutting the bamboo so we continue to cut on the next day after class.

I start to do my black box when i have collected enough bamboo stick. My idea was very simple, i just create a rectangular box which paste with newspaper.

This is the side of the rectangular box and I fix it with thick thread.

When i have finish the outline of the rectangular box, i found that it is not well fix so I have decided to add extra bamboo on it.

This is the picture that my friends use my bamboo box to prison me.

After that I pasted my bamboo box with newspaper.

Finally, i am using the waste paper that use to hold eggs to decorate my bamboo box.

At the end of the class, I define that the intention in this project is to create a very light and fix bamboo box to celebrate independent day in Penang Time Square. The actors is all RUS 101 members from USM and the product is to release 6 balloon when celebration is on.

Project 3B : My Black Box, 0900-1200, 6 August 2010

Today we have introduce to Vision & Rules. After came another new project, My black box. First of all, I need to have a black book, since I have spend lots of money when I become HBP student then i think not to buy from book stall. I cut an A3 board into two pieces which show the A4 size to become the cover then i put 30 pieces of A4 double A paper inside. Finally my black book is formed.

After that i sketch about 4 types of boxes, then i choose the most presentable to photostat and paste into an A3 paper. Then photostat again the A3 paper and wash with color. My product is formed as follow :

My product is a bit messy. Actually the most mystery black box is the most center black color box, and the key from the top is used to open the box. After the black box is opened, i have two possible things inside my black box. First imaginary thing is a simple wooden box which can bring us to another dimension or given another new and beautiful earth. The second imaginary box is a bamboo boxes and it is very strength, if anyone given a force to it the acid below the lock with break up and the things inside the box will gone. The important thing is the books inside the box, The Secret of The World, which can help people to rebuild our environment with the new principle inside. That is my simple drawing and the things come in my mind.

All the people in the world need to cooperate to maintain our environment to our next generation. Action is better than just thinking.

Project 3A : Casket 4 Me, 0900-1200, 2 August 2010

Today we have introduce to human dimension which is regrading golden section and  given an example as follow:

The other things i learnt are classic order, Renaissance theory, modulor system Ken system and Anthropometry. This is the assignment after the class :

I have introduce to an old style measurement, that is jengkal. We have given 2 pieces of A3 paper. First paper we need to use jengkal to draw a box in the center of the paper. After that we divide the box into 100 small box. Then, I have to measure my length with my own jengkal, i discover that normally people is about 10 jengkal by their own measurement. I am about 10 jengkal from my top to bottom, my hands are about 4 jengkal and my leg is about 5 jengkal, which is shown below with scale 1:10. Another two small scale are 1:50 and 1:100.

 I have to draw as many boxes as possible with the time given. I have shown my opacity, translucency, transparency, layers, shade and shadow.

After that i were received a new project which is Project 3A Casket 4 Me.

At the end of the class, i learnt to use jengkal to measure things.
The actors in the class are all the HBP students, the intention is to learn dimension and scale, and the product is shown as above.
